This house built near lake Junaluska, rural cabins and renovated in 1920 summer as a vacation escape. This house plan design concept is a blend of Arts & Crafts with a sense of the UK, which use materials that have regional precedent and appropriateness, shingle, cement and stone. The structure of rich detail and accented with lots of hand wrought iron work by Daniel Miller. Miller interrupted work both façade and interior of the house, from the lantern hanging at the entrance to curl up support for rain gutters to handrails on the stairs.
